SupaSidebar 0.12.0: A Sidebar That Works With You, Not Over You

Sidebars are supposed to help you work faster. But too often, they get in the way, covering your content, requiring constant manual organization, or breaking your focus every time you need to check something.
This update changes that.
Keep Your Full Workspace Visible
You're reading a document. You open the sidebar to grab a link. Now half your content is hidden behind it.
With Dock Mode, the sidebar pushes your browser window aside instead of covering it. When you hide the sidebar, your window snaps back to full width. Your content stays visible. Your context stays intact.
And when you need even more screen real estate, Compact Mode shows only favicons, your full sidebar in a slim strip.
Preview Before You Commit
You see a link in your sidebar. Is it the right one? Only one way to find out, click it, wait for it to load, realize it's not what you wanted, go back.
With Peek View, Cmd + Click opens any link in a mini preview window. Check it without leaving your current context. If it's what you need, open it in your browser of choice, Safari, Chrome, Arc, whatever you prefer. If not, close the preview and keep working.
Find the Right Tab Instantly
When you have tabs spread across multiple browser windows, finding the one you need becomes a guessing game.
Tabs from different windows now have clear visual distinction with color coding. And live tabs show favicons, so you can scan and find what you need at a glance.
Let Your Sidebar Organize Itself
Manually sorting links and files gets old fast. And those 47 tabs from your research session? They'll sit there until you forget why you opened them.
Smart Folders now work with files and folders, not just links. Set up rules based on file type, path, or name patterns, and let your sidebar sort itself. Need to save all your open tabs? One action, one folder, done.
Smart Folders also have full folder capabilities now. Move them between spaces, organize them however you want.
Your Sidebar, Your Way
Default favicons all look the same. When everything blends together, finding what you need takes longer than it should.
Now you can set custom icons for any pinned site, make your most-used links instantly recognizable at a glance.
Under the Hood
We also fixed several issues: the sidebar no longer hides unexpectedly when clicking the cloud status icon, save shortcuts work properly in Arc and Dia browsers, and folders now appear immediately in new spaces.
